Fluffy’s Plans for National Lazy Day

August 1, 2020

Did you know that one of Fluffy’s favorite holidays is just around the corner? August 10th is National Lazy Day! We know, for some kitties, every day is National Lazy Day. However, that won’t stop your pet from celebrating in her own adorable way. In this article from Fairfield Animal Hospital, your Cy-Fair animal hospital, a veterinarian lists some of the things your cat may have on her to-do list.

Sleep

Fluffy has a very rigorous napping schedule. Your uninspired pet has to really try to keep up with her 43 daily naps, before cuddling up with you for the night. Kitties also often rotate from spot to spot for all of those snoozes.

Eat

Aside from naps, meals are the most important thing on Fluffy’s agenda. Your furball will dutifully get up and partake in first breakfast, second breakfast, third breakfast, two lunches, and dinner, with perhaps some snacking in between.

Supervise The Humans

Your feline buddy isn’t always doing nothing when she’s lounging about in her favorite spot. Fluffy actually spends a good chunk of her day carefully supervising her humans, and monitoring everything we do. She may actually follow you around from room to room … if she isn’t too tired from doing nothing.

Stretch

It’s always cute seeing a kitty stretch out after a long nap. Fluffy has to stay limber to be able to nail tricky napping positions, such as the Knot and Pretzel!

Birdwatch

If Fluffy has a comfy spot before a window with a good view, there’s a pretty good chance that she’ll spend some of her favorite day hanging out there. Our feline pals love watching birds and squirrels!

Beauty Session

For us humans, the perfect lazy day often involves some self-care, whether it’s a good workout, a trip to the salon, or a mani-pedi. As for Fluffy, she’ll take a bit of time to groom herself. It’s important for your furry little diva to look her best while she’s napping!

Lap Warming

One of Fluffy’s most crucial duties is to spend time in your lap. This will keep you weighted down, relax you, and stop you from getting the chills. Fortunately, Fluffy doesn’t have to work too hard at this one!
