Fluffy’s Most Adorable New Year’s Resolutions

January 1, 2018
Happy New Year! Are you making a lot of resolutions this year? If so, your cat will be right there beside you as you work to meet your goals. In fact, your feline buddy may have some resolutions of her own. In this article from Fairfield Animal Hospital, a Cy-Fair vet lists some adorable resolutions for kitties.

Purrfect The Pounce

It can be easy to forget that your furry little friend is a predator by nature. Even if your kitty wouldn’t have the foggiest idea how to actually catch a mouse, or what to do with one if she did, she’ll still enjoy working on her hunting skills. Fluffy may very well want to work on her pounce this year. Help her out by getting her some new toys, and taking time to play with her every day.

Train The Humans

Some of our feline patients have their humans wrapped around their paws! Does your kitty have you trained to feed her on demand? Do you stay put when your cat is sleeping on your lap, in order to avoid disturbing her? If not, Fluffy may want to complete your training in 2018.

Improve Sprinting Time

Cats have an adorable habit of suddenly sprinting from one room to another for no apparent reason. Fluffy may want to improve her sprinting speed this year!

Beat Prior Napping Records

Cats are very drowsy, and sleep an average of 14 hours a day. Fluffy may very well try to beat her prior napping record. Your furball may also try to master some complicated napping positions, such as the Pretzel. Offer your kitty lots of comfy beds and napping spots.

Help The Humans

Your furball may act smug and perhaps even a bit bossy, but at the end of the day, she’s very grateful for the good care you show her. Fluffy may show her appreciation by lending a helping paw as you change sheets, fold laundry, or cook.

Snuggle

Cats can be very cuddly. Many kitties love to snuggle up with their humans! Help Fluffy achieve this goal by paying lots of attention to her, and letting her curl up on your lap when she wants. Please feel free to contact Fairfield Animal Hospital, your Cy-Fair vet pet clinic, anytime. We are looking forward to providing your pet with excellent care in 2018 and beyond.
