7 Times Cats Become Drama Queens

January 15, 2021
Kitties are very cute and charismatic. They can also be, well, a bit dramatic. Fluffy may spend the vast majority of her time lounging around and relaxing, but there are some things that can make her ramp up from 0 to 60 very quickly.  A veterinarian lists  some things that will definitely bring out your pet’s cattitude in this article from Fairfield Animal Hospital, your Cy-Fair animal clinic.

Late Breakfast

Cats are creatures of habit, and they follow their kitty schedules quite dutifully. Your pet will expect her morning meals at roughly the same time every day. If you’re late with Her Furry Majesty’s Breakfast, expect her to let you know. Fluffy may yell at you, rub against your legs, try to trip you, or even paw at you to tell you she wants her food right meow.

Nap Interruption

Kitties are collectively very, very tired. Fluffy spends the vast majority of her time napping, snoozing, dozing, or sleeping. However, at some point you’ll need to move your drowsy pet mid-nap. She probably won’t be happy about it.

Intruder

Fluffy is very territorial. One thing that is almost guaranteed to send her into a tizzy? The sign of another cat in her domain!

Bathtime

This one is almost self-explanatory. While there are some cats that actually enjoy splashing around in water, such as the Bengal and the Turkish Angora, most furballs will carry on as though they were in grave peril.

Being Moved

Our feline friends are very opportunistic little nappers. Fluffy will at some point get into something she probably shouldn’t be in. If you try to extract her, she may not be happy.

Toy Steal

Cats are very playful, and they have the instincts of hunters. However, Fluffy doesn’t know what is and is not safe for her to play with. If you have to take something unsafe away from your furry buddy, expect an annoyed little meow of indignation.

Car Rides

Most of our feline patients are definitely not big fans of going on car rides. Fluffy is a homebody, and she doesn’t really understand the concept of moving vehicles. Make the trip a bit easier for her by adding toys and treats to her carrier.  Here at Fairfield Animal Hospital, your Cy-Fair animal clinic, we are dedicated to offering great care.
